It’s a vocal minority. Because they’re strident doesn’t mean they’re either legitimate or large in number.
- Lamar Smith
The ability to instantaneously connect with individuals via the internet has fundamentally changed the way humans interact in the world. While the vast majority of us relish a free open internet, there are some like Lamar Smith who choose to oppose this freedom through poorly written legislation – all at the behest of the corporate entertainment industry.
$3,844 is all it takes for Test PAC to put up a billboard in Texas’ 21st district, Lamar Smith’s political home-front. By funding the billboard above, we prove to Smith and others that supporters of a free and open internet aren’t a fringe group of radicals, but rather that we are average Americans who believe in our right to access and exchange of information freely in the digital age.

So far Test PAC members have generously contributed over $4,000 to the movement, and with this money Test PAC is currently working on a television commercial that will air sometime next month. While we wait for our team of volunteers to finish the television spot, however, we are losing valuable time to make an initial impact in Texas’ 21st.
Here’s where you come.
The best way for your to support this effort is to become a member of Test PAC and pitch in a few bucks to make this happen. The donation page for Operation: Mr. Smith Comes Back from Washington includes a bar to show how far along we are in reaching our $3000 goal. Test PAC relies on small contributions from average Americans like yourself. In fact, the majority of donations that Test PAC receives are less than $25. Do you have an extra $25? $10? Every donation made goes a long way towards making political ideas into realities. Heck, even if you don’t have anything to give you can still become a member and help out in other ways as well!
I encourage you to help Test PAC fight back against those who seek to fundamentally change the internet as we know it in exchange for corporate money. Let’s send Smith a message – a billboard-sized message – and show the congressman and the nation the true potential of the online community.
